Vintage: The growing conditions of 2014 were beyond ideal, with lots of sunny warm days and cool nights throughout the Spring and Summer. September was also warm, allowing the fruit to fully ripen with outstanding flavors.
Wine: The 2014 I de V is made of one of the five red Bordeaux grapes, and that varietal will forever remain a mystery. The five Bordeaux varietals are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc.
Notes: "This wine looked terrific, with classic graphite, black currant, unsmoked cigar tobacco, pen ink and licorice. It is full-bodied and fleshy, with oodles of black fruits, a touch of barrique and a long finish. Drink it over the next 15-20 years." - Robert Parker
Shipping Notes: Due to the delicate nature of this wine, two-day shipping is recommended for all shipments.
